This six-part, self-paced online course will introduce you to the skills and theory of professional hypnotism. Through recorded web classes, reading assignments, supplemental resources, and access to the instructor and classmates for FAQ and idea sharing, you'll learn:

  • What hypnosis is, and what it isn't
  • How to assess your clients and establish rapport
  • How to create a hypnosis "pre-talk" and why this is important
  • How to address client fears and misperceptions
  • How to plan a hypnosis session
  • Why we do suggestibility exercises, and how to do them
  • Permissive and authoritarian hypnosis inductions
  • How to deepen a hypnotic experience
  • How to emerge a person from hypnosis
  • About the depth stages of hypnosis
  • How to do and teach self-hypnosis 

Specialty Topic

This course also introduces the specialty of sexological hypnosis and some of the basic concepts of using hypnosis for sexual concerns. 

This course provides 30 home study hours toward the 100-hour

National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) Hypnosis Certification Training

as taught by Dr. Amy Marsh through the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center.

This course is for you if:

  • You are getting your hypnosis certification training for the National Guild of Hypnotists, or
  • You are interested in learning "the basics" of hypnosis.

NGH Professional Certification Credit

Extend this training to become a certified hypnotist or hypnotherapist.

This course provides 20 home study hours toward the 100-hourNational Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) Hypnosis Certification Trainingas taught by Dr. Amy Marsh through the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center.

If you wish to enroll in the entire NGH hypnosis certification course after taking this introductory portion, you may do so from inside your classroom or through arrangements with Dr. Marsh.

The remainder of the NGH certification training includes 10 more home study hours, plus 70 classroom hours during training programs scheduled throughout the year in the San Francisco Bay area and in O'ahu and Hawai'i Island (Hawai'i).  Please check the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center website for scheduled training dates, tuitions costs, etc.
